E.M.T. HORSES

Here is a selection of horses we are currently working with.

Page Update: 19th April 2008

At the Gallery you can view further pictures of the horses in work.

"Bombie" ("Light the Fuse" - Electric - Celtic Cone)

Horse competing in dressage

Bombie is an ex-national hunt racehorse.  His racing career spanned 8 years before suffering one injury too many which ended his racing days.

Despite bone chips being removed from both knees, a severed tendon and a broken bone at the back of his knee, Bombie kept bouncing back, but a back injury proved just too much for him.

"Oscar" ("Whinny Tou" - Whinny Jackson - Wolfgang)

You wouldn't meet a kinder natured horse than Oscar. As a younger horse he lost his way and unfortunately he was a little misunderstood; sadly he found his way into the grass field.

Two years down the line our paths crossed and Oscar found his way to us.  He is now under a new owner and his dressage training has resumed.

Oscar is now attending training clinics and had his first affiliated outing for 3 years in February.

"Athens" ("Jivetime A-Bit-Of A-Do" - Arko III - Argentinus)

Athens cantering

This is a 3 year old Stallion by "Arko III ".

He is with us to be prepared for his 4 year old grading as well as a show jumping career.

For a stallion Athens has the most incredible temperament. Although he is very cheeky he does not have an ounce of the more usual stallion behaviour of being mouthy or nippy, etc. He is excellent on the yard and a joy to have.

The end of December (2007) saw Athens backed and he is now undergoing basic schooling..

"Peanut"
("West Life" - Florencio I - Florestan I)

This fabulous gelding is currently being backed and then will follow a career in dressage.

With his illustrious breeding we are very excited about his future.

Peanut is quite a sharp boy so we are having to take things slowly as he frightens himself.

The rotten weather has slowed our progress a little as it is vital that this horse is not upset as he is so sensitive.

"Pilot" ("Master Jivetime Jubilee" - Monte Carlo WH - Holland STB - Concorde STB)

This gelding is already an in-hand Cuddy Supreme Champion and a Hunter Champion.

He was also a winner in the 4 year old section of the at Baileys Horse Feeds/British Breeding Futurity attaining the highest scores out of all the Futurity-enrolled 4 year old in both the showjumping and dressage sections.

Pilot is now undergoing dressage training - his second outing is 26th May .

"Cappi"
("Capulet" - Templetrine)

This gelding has proven to be quite challenging. He is generally very switched-on and the description of "sharp" is extremely accurate for him! This coupled with a nervousness has meant progress has been by the millimetre rather than the centimetre.

We are confident that this horse has a future in the competition arena.

He moves beautifully so there are several options as to which road to go down with him.

"Secret" ("Mill Sigilosa" - Gastador XII - Dadisoso VII)

Secret is a 3 y.o. pure bred spanish filly who has come to us for ground training and backing.

She is a delightful little lady but sharp and this , combined with her timid nature means the early work will have to be taken very slowly to gain her confidence in us and what we are asking her to do.

"Freddie"( "Ffazniah El Shaklan GFA" - "Ea Azniah El Shaklan - Raji - Az Bazia)

Freddie is not quite 3 years of age but he is flexing his muscles. His owners, mindful not to do anything that may not be quite right in instilling good manners, politeness and social skills, have sent him here for ground training. He will be backed later in the year when he is stronger through the back.

Freddie belies his appearance - he is like a piece of porcelain but he is quite strong-willed and so needs gentle discipline to steer him along the right path.

"Dylan"

Dylan arrived on 12th April. Initial assessment has highlighted several "sore" areas which require the attention of our chiropractor, Georgina Sim. Dylan has been quite "stressy" in his ridden behaviour so that and being uncomfortable in his body will not only account for the jumping difficulties he and his owner are having but also, despite his owner's best efforts, the ability to keep weight on Dylan.

We will now set to work building up Dylan's muscles and improving his flatwork so that he finds jumping altogether more comfortable and, most importantly, fun!

Keep a check for updates on Dylans's progress by clicking here.

"JIVETIMEUP FOR ANYTHING", an "UNBELIEVABLE DARCO" ("DARCO") colt

"JIVETIME WANNA BEWITCH", a "BROADSTONE WEST COUNTRY"/ "ST.PR.ST ANASTASIA" mare
